Mista Muzic on the Mic – positive music by Coach Roland Kemokai
Roland B. Kemokai a.k.a. Mista Muzic, is an Austin-based, internationally experienced Singer-Songwriter, multi-talented musician, professional vocal coach, and the energetic lead singer for Austin’s roots reggae band, Roland & The Roots Riddim.
In addition to being an engaging front-man, a powerful singer, and a multi-instrumentalist, he is also a published author and an in-demand speaker and life coach.
Born in Liberia, West Africa, Roland was discarded on a dump-pile as a baby. He struggled through poverty, abuses, and a violent civil war while utilizing remarkable gifts of strength, perseverance, and his music to survive.
He started his musical journey at an early age of six. While creating his own make-shift instruments and skillfully playing the log drum in his village, he became a lead entertainer for his entire village during the Liberian civil war.
He says, “Music is my first love and sacred space of tranquility. When bullets were flying everywhere taking lives randomly and mortar shells dreadfully blasting in the streets of Monrovia, my 3-stringed village guitar became my best friend and deepest comfort.”
A virtuosic pianist, guitarist, bassist, composer, vocal instructor, life coach, published author, and inspirational speaker, Roland now uses his music to share his belief in the power of forgiveness, positive thinking, and the potential for greatness within us all.
Roland Kemokai’s music is available for download on Amazon, CDBaby, iTunes, ReverbNation, Rhapsody, Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, etc.
